Emma Fuhrmann In ‘The Magic Of Belle Isle’ Opposite Morgan Freeman – To Be Screened At The USA Film Festival
Emma Fuhrman is an incredibly talented 10-year-old actress who just wrapped the lead in Rob Reiner’s THE MAGIC OF BELLE ISLE opposite Morgan Freeman. As Rob and his crew discovered, and what Paramount fell in love with, is that this young girl is just 100% natural on camera and able to find the right emotional beats and delivery every time.
Emma was born on September 15, 2001 in Dallas, Texas where she still resides with her parents and her younger brother Nick. Meant to be in front of the camera, Emma began a modeling career at 18 months old. It started when her mother sent two photos to a local agency. By the next day, Emma was signed as a baby model. Although Emma enjoyed modeling, as soon as she learned to read, she naturally gravitated towards the acting world. At first she booked a few local commercials, and being a natural born talent, soon she was booking national commercials. Not long after that, she was booking parts in television shows and feature films.
Emma’s first big break came when director, David Nutter, hired her for the role of “Sissy Peele” in the pilot episode of NBC/Bruckheimer’s “CHASE.” From there, she soon after booked an episode of NBC’s “PRIME SUSPECT” as Amanda Patterson, the only witness to her parent’s murder, and took a huge leap in her career booking the lead role in Rob Reiner’s film, THE MAGIC OF BELLE ISLE alongside Morgan Freeman. The Magnolia Pictures film also starring Virginia Madsen and Fred Willard is scheduled to release on July 6th, 2012.
Emma loves to support non-profit organizations tied to youth both domestic and international. When not working, Emma keeps her feet on the ground by staying in Texas with her family, friends, and her dog Kirby. She attends school, and enjoys playing the piano and guitar. Two of her favorite hobbies include being a part of a competitive swim team in the summer and skiing in the winter.
