    Derek Feniger – Founder/Photographer/Editor

    Derek started his life off in Denver, CO. After a quick three years there the Feniger family made their way to Toledo, OH. Creativity always being a passion in Derek’s life, he found himself in the big city of New York at a very young age, looking to get his foot in the door. Working for just over 4 years with clothing company ROOTS as a model, he also found his passion for photography. Derek decided to move back to Ohio, where he got involved in the family steel business. Most importantly, he found his true passion, photography back home in Ohio. Though steel runs in the blood of the Feniger men, the creativity Derek needed was not in Toledo, so he picked up and headed to LA.

    Feniger now has put together in one year some pretty amazing things here in LA. Feniger Photography.COM is up and rolling and new clients are being added to Derek’s roster daily. He soon realized that these stars that he was shooting were not getting the recognition they deserved, hence The Rising Hollywood.COM has been born!! Oh and of course Derek is still waking up every morning at 4:30AM to sell steel to his long time customers all over the USA.

    Derek has some major goals and The Rising Hollywood is just starting in his mind, some very exciting things coming your way!!!!

    I am the type of girl who dreams big and then dreams even bigger.

    I grew up in the small town of Carleton Place which is just outside of Ottawa, Ontario in Canada. I grew up running in grassy fields barefoot in the summer, reading Catcher In The Rye. In the winter, skating on outdoor ponds with my brother and watching glittered white snowflakes fall.

    The truth about growing up in a small town is that you learn the meaning of purity and that happiness can come from simplicity. At a young age I have learned these values and have stayed true to them throughout my life.

    For four years, I lived in the city of Montreal, Quebec and studied Fashion Marketing in College. After completing school I travelled to Los Angeles for a four week internship at J BRAND Corporate office. It was an experience of a lifetime and the beautiful city of L.A. will always hold a special place in my heart.

    I am greatly passionate about Yoga and living a healthy, clean lifestyle. I have been practicing for over five years. The attitude that yoga transcends upon me is pure perseverance – which enhances my day-to-day life and helps me to reach towards my future goals. The people I have crossed paths with have inspired me to become a certified teacher.

    I recently moved back to my home city of Ottawa and it feels oh-so-good to be back to my roots. I have been in love with creative writing for as long as I can remember. The power of writing has enabled me to express myself in ways I never thought possible.Simply put, it has always came back to words. I am so excited to be apart of and working with The Rising Hollywood Team. I am constantly feeding off of inspiration and freshly new talent provides just that (and more).
